A video call just before Christmas 2024 gave rise to a partnership with real driving force. After years of working alongside one another in the motorsports industry, MOTOREX and Sherco decided to join forces. In a short space of time, a relationship was formed that has proven to be strong, reliable and effective both on and off the track. What began as a pragmatic exchange developed within a matter of days into a partnership facing challenges in the sand – and mastering them with passion, precision and shared energy.

Contract negotiations usually proceed at their own pace. But in this case, a virtual handshake was enough to pave the way. The decision to work together was made just before the holidays – simply, in a spirit of partnership and with a clear goal in mind: to participate in the 2025 Dakar Rally a few days later. One of the toughest adventures on two wheels – endless desert, sheer determination, a truly extreme experience. It was clear to Sherco that they wanted to compete in this important race in early January with MOTOREX. A few days later, representatives from both sides met halfway in Lyon. Shortly afterwards, Sherco travelled on to Saudi Arabia with MOTOREX products in tow. Sherco started the race with MOTOREX in the engine – with success: Lorenzo Santolino won the third stage of the 2025 Dakar Rally for Sherco, securing the team’s first stage victory since 2019.
