With the new SUSPENSION GREASE, MOTOREX is introducing a special grease for lubricating sealing rings in suspension forks and bicycle shock absorbers. For workshop professionals and bikers with experience in bicycle maintenance, SUSPENSION GREASE is a high-quality assembly grease with many attractive product benefits.
Whether it’s due to a great deal of heavy use on MTB trails or because the maintenance interval recommended by the manufacturer is pending once again: a fork service, including the replacement of the sealing rings, is part of the regular maintenance work carried out on sports bikes – however, this requires special care and the right lubricants.
The perfect response behaviour of a suspension fork or shock requires grease that is specially adapted to the overall system. The new SUSPENSION GREASE from MOTOREX was developed precisely for this task and contains friction-reducing additives that are particularly effective in combination with high-quality Kashima coatings. It is attuned to the elastomers, O-rings, fork oils and top layers used and does not adversely affect them.
The additives used significantly reduce the “stick-slip effect”, improving the components’ response behaviour. The grease considerably reduces the breakaway torque – i.e. the initial force required to set the fork or shock in motion. This leads to a more even and smoother movement of the fork and shock absorbers, which is particularly advantageous for rapid, successive impacts when travelling at high speeds. The result is more stable and controlled handling, especially on demanding terrain.
SUSPENSION GREASE is also highly water-repellent and resistant to water washout and oxidation. The effect: optimum sealing keeps the oil circuits in the fork cleaner and ready for use for longer. The new SUSPENSION GREASE thus contributes to the optimum function and long-term value retention of a suspension fork.
SUSPENSION GREASE for installing sealing rings in suspension forks is part of the “WORKSHOP” range of the BIKE LINE from MOTOREX. It was developed specifically for experts such as professional mechanics and bike enthusiasts with experience in maintenance. The semi-synthetic special grease fulfils the requirements of DIN 51502, KP2G-30 and NLGI 2 and can be used at temperatures from -30 to 110°C.
