Langenthal, 8 February 2023 – green light for next chapter in success story: MOTOREX and KTM extend their longstanding partnership. After 20 years of fruitful collaboration, the leading specialist for lubricants and care and maintenance products and the most successful motorbike manufacturer on the racing circuit have just agreed to extend their partnership on a long-term basis.
The cooperation between the two leading brands encompasses all KTM's racing activities with the exception of MotoGP. This means that all KTM works teams competing in the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships, the top Motocross and Supercross classes and the Enduro/Offroad competitions will be relying on MOTOREX's high-performance products.
The two partners have racked up 119 titles over the first 20 years of their collaboration. The most recent success was achieved just a few days ago with Kevin Benavides (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) winning the Rallye Dakar Moto in January.
“Trust and reliability are essential qualities in any partnership. And numerous joint projects in the areas of first fill, series production, the global aftermarket and racing over the past 20 years have only served to strengthen them. Even after nearly 120 world championships involving countless hours of nervous anticipation, nail-biting and finger-crossing at the race track, our collaboration has lost none of its allure. Both partners are thoroughly convinced that the partnership between KTM and MOTOREX will deliver more interesting results in the future too. And we're proud to play our part in the continuing success story of the KTM GROUP going forward.”
“KTM and MOTOREX work excellently together under the spotlight of the motorcycling world – the many years and titles speak for themselves!”
MOTOREX has always used its successful involvement in racing as an exacting “test laboratory”, and incorporates the know-how gained from racing into the development and production of high-quality series products. It's with good reason that MOTOREX oils are considered #raceproven. The partnership with KTM, which now enters its third decade, also includes the first filling of all new machines with MOTOREX products. In addition, KTM recommends the use of the Swiss-made lubricants in the owner's manuals for its production bikes.
The close cooperation between KTM and MOTOREX also extends to development work: At the in-house laboratory in Langenthal, the Swiss experts work in close coordination with the engineers in Mattighofen to develop high-tech lubricants that deliver top performance and maximum reliability.
