Despite facing numerous challenges, MOTOREX can look back on a successful year. Stefan Sury, Automotive Sales Manager, and Andrea De Icco, CAR LINE Product Manager, discuss high-lubricity oils, safe battery storage and digitalisation.
We can look back at a successful year in all areas of the company. In the passenger vehicle category, we benefitted from an influx of business in our garages. Due to supply issues with new cars, the after-sales business boomed amongst our customers and, in turn, demand for our products was also high.
Our biggest challenge is to ensure our additive and raw material supplies are sufficient and, accordingly, to continue to guarantee high levels of delivery capacity for our customers. The increase in production and warehouse capacity that we are planning for 2023 will take us to the next level in this respect. Aside from this, we are also keeping an eye on how energy prices develop. Our core values will remain the same: a customer-focused approach, quality products and services, and high availability.
Sustainability is a key element of our business strategy. At our production site in Langenthal, we are continually optimising our internal processes and production facilities. At the same time, our on-site solar panels generate a significant portion of the electricity we use. We are also committed to sustainability in our product formulations and packaging. The products in our CLEAN & CARE line are for the most part biodegradable. With motor oils, state-of-the-art formulations help to reduce the coefficient of friction. This has a direct impact on the CO2 emissions vehicles produce.
Our latest products, CONCEPT T-XL SAE 0W/16 and 0W/8, are ideal for extremely friction-optimised engines and are sought after by car designers. Today, high-lubricity oils are generally standard. We have similar aspirations for our cutting edge, highly versatile 0W/20 and 0W/30 motor oils. With multiple official manufacturer approvals, CONCEPT E-XL 0W/20 in particular is amongst our most popular motor oils. In CLEAN & CARE, we developed the new all-season windscreen cleaner that ensures a clear view all year round, even in freezing conditions. The two Best Brand awards we have received for our motor oils, as well as for our CLEAN & CARE line, are a great source of pride.
Absolutely! Our technicians are at the heart of what we do and the most knowledgeable source of information for queries relating to the application of our products. Getting the right advice is pivotal. Many of our customers who operate multi-brand businesses are looking for efficient lubrication solutions and prefer products that have multiple uses. As a full-spectrum supplier, we are able to meet all manner of lubrication needs with our high-quality products.
We are working on a complete product line for electric vehicles. The market share of these vehicles is growing continuously. With our Protecto range, we are already offering mechanics products that guarantee the safe temporary storage of battery packs. Demand is up considerably in this area too.
Digitalisation is an important subject for our customers. As such, our mission is to ensure we are able to provide high-quality services, including via digital channels.
