Hydraulic systems are some of the most used and, in many ways, the most technically demanding assemblies. Even experts treat the task of upgrading existing hydraulics using biodegradable hydraulic oil with the respect it deserves. The aspect of material compatibility is what concerns them the most in this regard. This is where ECOSYNT HEPR provides the perfect conditions to simplify the oil change process.

Construction companies are becoming increasingly conscious of the high levels of responsibility involved when using machines with well-filled hydraulics systems. Working with easily biodegradable hydraulic oils is becoming a prerequisite in many tenders, as well as in environmentally sensitive areas such as in and around bodies of water. This is where the high-performance, environmentally friendly ECOSYNT HEPR comes into its own.

HEPR TECHNOLOGY MAKES IT POSSIBLE

The innovative HEPR formulation (Hydraulic Oil Environmental Polyalphaolefins and Related Products) uses special synthetic polyalphaolefins. These hydrocarbon compounds are equivalent to conventional mineral hydraulic oils in terms of material compatibility, and are even superior to many commercially available bio-hydraulic oils in which at least 50% of the ingredients are regenerative raw materials. ECOSYNT HEPR is highly compatible with all of the materials commonly used in hydraulic systems. It protects particularly sensitive components such as bearings made from white and non-ferrous metals or lead-, tin-, and zinc-based alloys. Elastomers enjoy long-term protection thanks to ECOSYNT HEPR’s non-polar (non-adhesive and penetrating) behaviour. Mineral oil-resistant hoses and NBR, H-NBR, CR and FCK-based seal materials remain stable, even at high temperatures and over long periods of use. This provides a significant advantage over bio-hydraulic oils, which are already viewed in a negative light due to causing swollen seals and damaging hoses. ECOSYNT HEPR makes problems like these a thing of the past.

All ECOSYNT HEPR hydraulic oils are considered Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EAL) and as biodegradable, non-bioaccumulative and minimally harmful to the aquatic environment, based on the applicable standards and in accordance with OECD 301 B. The range includes products that conform to ISO VG 32, 37 and 46 viscosity specifications. These meet a range of standards and requirements from prestigious manufacturers, including LIEBHERR™.
