In October 2011, the BUCHER MOTOREX Group founded MOTOREX NORDIC AB, a new subsidiary based in Göteborg, Sweden. Its purpose is to further develop existing business relationships in Sweden and throughout Scandinavia with a direct presence and professional logistics. Long-time, well-established distribution partnerships will continue unchanged, but will have access to better local support in many respects.
The need for ever more specialized, better-performing lubricants is growing steadily. Technology demands longer service lifetimes and higher performance and durability. And environmental safety and health expectations are rapidly becoming more stringent, both in legislative and social terms. This opens new opportunities for the development and production of top-quality lubricants. As a mid-sized enterprise, MOTOREX has become a valued partner for customers of all sizes from a wide range of industries over the past 95 years thanks to an uncompromising commitment to quality in its products and on site consulting services. With the foundation of MOTOREX NORDIC AB near Göteborg, the MOTOREX brand is moving closer to the Scandinavian markets. A dedicated distribution organization and high delivery capacity from its own distribution center will help MOTOREX win additional customer segments in Sweden and throughout Scandinavia.
SUBSIDIARY MOTOREX NORDIC AB
Since November 2011, MOTOREX NORDIC AB has been MOTOREX’s own sales organization in Scandinavia. The team consists of the Sales Director Nordic and the Head of Marketing/Customer Service. General Manager is Robert Konvalina, who will oversee the BUCHER AG subsidiary from headquarters in Langenthal, Switzerland. MOTOREX NORDIC AB will market the following proven product lines in market segments that have been unserved until now:
-
ALPINE LINE (alpine infrastructure)
-
FARMER LINE (agriculture and forestry)
-
CONSTRUCTION LINE (construction industry)
-
CAR LINE (automobile sector)
MOTOREX NORDIC AB will not sell product lines already offered by existing distributors; these will continue to be marketed by the established partners.
KNOW-HOW FOR SIMILAR MARKETS
With profound expertise and a diverse range of products, MOTOREX will be an important contribu-tor as a lubrication technology specialist in Scandinavia – not least because market needs and quality awareness in Scandinavia are highly compatible with MOTOREX.
The new MOTOREX subsidiary in the north of Eu-rope will initially serve only the Swedish market, but in the medium term it will become the hub for all distribution, logistical and technical support operations in Scandinavia. Since selected MOTOREX product lines are already represented in the Norwegian, Danish and Finnish markets, the company has an opportunity to expand these markets step-by-step by introducing additional product ranges.
NEW CENTRAL WAREHOUSE NORDIC
The new MOTOREX central warehouse in Karlsham in southern Sweden already stocks over a hundred different MOTOREX products. The centre is operated by a leading logistics company and boasts state-of-the-art IT systems and infrastructure. The MOTOREX plant in Langenthal is immediately notified of outbound shipments so they can be quickly restocked. Good availability and simplified logistics administration will be key factors in enabling MOTOREX to build a lasting business in the Scandinavian market in the years to come.
